Caryophyllene

A spicy, peppery terpene found in black pepper, cloves, and hops. Caryophyllene is unique among terpenes because it is the only one known to directly bind to CB2 receptors in the endocannabinoid system, which makes it a frequent subject of cannabinoid research. It is associated with a calm, grounded, peppery character. Often dominant in strains like GSC and OG Kush.
